ASTRO -WORKSHOP
Have you ever wanted someone to show and explain how to take that shot of the Nght Sky?
THIS IS FOR YOU!
An inexpensive night out under the stars with your own tutor.
4 hour workshop with you and your own equipment!
All workshops are held in the winter months of Queensland in the Scenic Rim region. Approximately 1 hour south from Brisbane CBD.
The groups are generally limited to 2 to 6 people.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
• Using your camera, how to photograph at night, particularly the night sky
• What settings will work for you and your camera
• How to focus at night
• How to use your tripod correctly.
• The ‘Emu’ in the sky
• Take a single shot Milky Way photograph Vs Stacking
• Star Trails – methods (yep, we will attempt to do one of these on the night)
• A little one on one tuition with you and your equipment
• What is this Orion thing?
• And more…………
This is a great introductory opportunity if you have never done Astro before.
Photographing the night sky for all modern cameras and photographers of all ages.
CAMERA and REQUIREMENTS
Camera must have 'manual mode' and be capable of at least a 15 second exposure
At least one fully charged battery
Memory card (always have a spare)
Lens –wide angle as possible I.E. the 18-55mm kit lens will do fine.
Must have a tripod- IMPORTANT (I usually only have one spare)
